Frequent, vigorous handwashing and other good hygiene practices.

Minimizing unnecessary physical contact and close proximity with others in our delivery of hotel services. Adopting and adhering to new cleanliness standards and protocols. If you have a future reservation to stay with us, please know that we are here and are ready to welcome you. However, if you wish to postpone your reservation for a later day, please contact us at 843-686-5700 if you booked directly through us. If you booked your reservation through another channel (i.e. Expedia, Booking.com, etc.) please contact them directly to make the appropriate changes.

We plan to regularly review, expand, and evolve these and other preventative measures as we learn more from the WHO, CDC, and other health experts about how best to combat the spread of this illness. In the meantime, please know we are committed to doing all that we can to see that you have a safe and enjoyable stay at Palmera Inn and Suites.

UPDATE 6/30/2020

Individuals Required to Wear Face Coverings in Commercial Business Establishments
Town Council adopted Emergency Ordinance 2020-14 requiring individuals to wear face coverings in commercial business establishments in the municipal limits of the Town of Hilton Head Island effective 11:59 pm on June 30, 2020.

Any person entering a commercial business establishment within the Town's municipal limits must wear a face covering. A face covering means a cloth of other type of masking device that covers the wearer's nose and mouth, and which remains in place without the use of the wearer's hands. A commercial business establishment means any establishment located in a closed building or other indoor environment that primarily sells goods or services, or a combination of them, to the general public, including but not limited to grocery stores, restaurants, lobbies and public spaces in hotels, motels and timeshare complexes, pharmacies, bars, salons, retails stores, medical and dental offices.

Violators may be subject to a misdemeanor criminal offense, which carries a $500 fine or a 30 day jail sentence. Non-compliant businesses may have their business licenses suspended or revoked.
